Playing Cards, Volumes I and II (1906)

This work, titled Les Cartes à jouer, written by Henry-René d'Allemagne and published in 1906, consists of Volumes I and II. This work documents the history of playing cards from the 14th to the 20th century through extensive iconography, including 3200 reproductions of cards, 950 of which are presented in colour. Preserved in good used condition, these two volumes offer a rich and well-documented overview. The set constitutes a valuable reference work for lovers of antique books and history.
