Who we are
Maison Boitel (“we”) operates maisonboitel.com, a platform connecting independent antique dealers with lovers of period pieces. We take no commission on sales. This policy explains what data we process, why, and how to exercise your rights.
Data controller: Maison Boitel, Brussels, Belgium. Contact: bonjour@maisonboitel.com.
Data we collect
Contact details: when you fill in a contact form, a bespoke sourcing request or a partnership application, we store your name, email, phone and the content of your message.
Partner dealer profiles: professional name, contact details, presentation and catalogue pieces that the partner publishes themselves.
Browsing data: pages viewed, visit duration, device and browser, collected in aggregate via Google Analytics 4.
Favourites: pieces you mark as favourites are stored locally in your browser and never sent to our servers.
Automatic publishing on Instagram and Pinterest
Maison Boitel automatically publishes its catalogue, from its admin panel, to its official Instagram (@maisonboitel) and Pinterest accounts, via the Meta for Developers and Pinterest API v5 APIs.
For this we process the photographs, titles, descriptions and indicative prices of the pieces, as well as the public identifier of the partner dealer presenting the object.
Meta and Pinterest access tokens are stored encrypted server-side and never exposed publicly. No visitor data is transmitted to Meta or Pinterest.
Legal basis and purposes
- Fulfil your request (contact, sourcing, partnership) — your explicit consent when sending the form.
- Editorial social-media publications — our legitimate interest in promoting the catalogue.
- Aggregate audience measurement — your consent (cookie banner).
Cookies and trackers
- Google Analytics 4 (anonymised audience measurement) — deposited with your consent.
- No third-party advertising cookie is used. Maison Boitel sells nothing and routes no data to ad networks.
Retention period
Contact messages and applications are kept for 2 years. API tokens are kept while automatic publishing is active and deleted on disconnect. Analytics data is aggregated and kept for 14 months.
Data sharing
We do not sell or rent your data. It is shared only with our technical providers (hosting, audience measurement) and, for editorial publications only, with Meta and Pinterest. No personal visitor data is transmitted to these platforms.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you may access, rectify, erase or limit the processing of your data, and request portability. To exercise these rights, write to bonjour@maisonboitel.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD).
Security
Access tokens are stored encrypted, administrator credentials are protected by authentication, and access to the admin panel is restricted to authorised Maison Boitel staff.
