This display under a glass dome combines preserved butterflies, bamboo stalks and ceramics, and was created around 1920. The scenographic arrangement centres on a series of seventeen preserved butterflies arranged along several bamboo stalks. At the base of the display, the scene features various ceramic figurines depicting mushrooms, snails and frogs. The piece thus brings together elements of natural history and handcrafted creations within a single structure. This display piece stands 53 centimetres tall and is in perfect condition.
