Description

This carved piece is made of white jade with a slightly celadon hue, attributed to China and dated to the late 18th century. The sculpture depicts a horse in a reclining position, its neck bent so that its head rests directly on the animal’s left leg. The piece measures 8 cm in length, 4.8 cm in height and 4 cm in depth. The object bears no artist’s signature nor any specific documented provenance. It is in very good overall condition, consistent with the period in which it was made.
