Description

This classical bronze model from the late 19th century depicts a standing archer with an athletic physique, holding his bow in one hand as he turns his torso slightly. With drapery around his waist, the figure stands on a mound with vegetation, incorporated into a circular base measuring 25 cm in diameter, with an overall height of 74 cm. Created by the French sculptor Eugène Marioton, known for his allegorical and classical subjects exhibited at the Salon from 1882 onwards, this cast retains its original patina, which shows some visible wear.
