Description

This pair of candlesticks is made of silver and dates from the 18th century. Each piece rests on a moulded circular base featuring gadrooned motifs and a beaded border. The baluster-shaped shaft, round in cross-section, is adorned with fluting and cut acanthus leaves at its base, flaring out towards a cup with a chiselled rim. On visual inspection, a natural patina and some slight surface wear are evident. The set retains its original structure.
