Coiffeuse with flower marquetry

This dressing table in tulipwood, rosewood and stained exotic wood dates from the late 18th century and is of French manufacture. The top comprises three sections inlaid with floral motifs: the central section lifts to reveal a mirror, while the side flaps open out. The frieze contains two drawers and a writing slide. The piece stands on four tapered, sheathed legs with gilt-bronze sabots, matching the gilt-bronze ring handles. It measures 76 cm in height, 90 cm in width and 51,5 cm in depth. The piece has been restored with a French-polished finish.
