Description
This marquetry commode with a brèche d'Alep marble top was made in France in the second half of the 18th century. It has a shaped front fitted with five drawers, with an upper tier comprising two drawers flanking a central compartment, and two large drawers below. The marquetry decoration features framed geometric compositions. The commode is topped with brèche d'Alep marble and has mounts with a gilt appearance, including handles and escutcheons. It retains its large key. Its dimensions are 88 cm high, 100 cm wide and 55 cm deep.
