Originating from Gansu province in China and dating from the late Qing period (late 19th – early 20th century), this wooden sideboard is distinguished by its pale green lacquer, with tones mellowed by time. Its rectangular front features three upper drawers above four panelled doors, all fitted with small original metal fittings. The lower apron and straight legs reflect the tradition of rustic furniture from this region. The lacquered surface shows visible wear, revealing the wood beneath. Fully restored, the piece measures 153 cm in length, 40 cm in depth and 97 cm in height.
