This inkwell is made of gilded bronze with a malachite inlay. Produced in the early 19th century, this piece is a Russian work in the Empire style. Its construction is characterised by a top engraved with floral scrolls, which features a malachite inlay set in relief. The composition is adorned with a design featuring a putto and has two handles depicting intertwined snakes. Its dimensions are 24 cm in length, 17 cm in width and 12 cm in height. The piece is in good condition, though there is a slight, minor chip to the malachite.
