Iradj Moini brooch in caramel-coloured jade and semi-precious stones, circa 1980

This brooch is crafted from caramel-coloured jade, smoky topazes, citrines and gold-plated metal wires. Created circa 1980 by Iradj Moini, the piece is signed by the artist. The jewellery is crafted using a setting technique that employs gold-plated metal wires to hold the various stones together. At its apex is a Ming-dynasty caramel-coloured jade sculpture depicting a seated horse. This animal motif sits atop an arrangement comprising three imposing smoky topazes and two small citrines. The piece measures 7.5 cm in length, 4.5 cm in width and 2.5 cm in height. The piece is in very good condition.
