Pair of gilt-bronze and porcelain table jardinières, Napoleon III period

This pair of Napoleon III period table jardinières combines chased gilt-bronze mounts with painted porcelain panels. Each side incorporates a curved panel depicting a polychrome floral composition within a reserve against a gilt-enriched sky-blue ground, in the Sèvres style. The architectural bronze framework features sculpted feet with scrolls and foliate motifs, female masks centred on the upper arches, and seed-shaped finials at the corners. The interiors appear to contain removable liners intended to hold plants.
