This rectangular fly box is crafted from rye straw marquetry and dates from the 18th century, in the Louis XVI style. Its lid features figurative marquetry work set within a circular medallion, depicting two figures set against a rural landscape. The outer sides are decorated with a geometric pattern consisting of vertical bands. Inside, the box is embellished with a polychrome decoration featuring scrollwork and foliage motifs. This object measures 7 cm in length, 5 cm in width and 3 cm in height. The piece is in good overall condition, with some signs of wear and minor age-related alterations.
