Art Deco: the pieces that marked an era
Geometry, precious materials and light: reading a style of the 1920s and 1930s.
Art Deco is a style of taut lines. Decoration is no longer added: it is built into the structure, through geometry and the choice of materials.
Lighting is its most immediate expression. Pressed-glass bowls, nickel-plated bronze mounts, radiating motifs: light becomes an element of architecture.
These pieces sit particularly well in restrained interiors, where their graphic quality alone structures a volume.
