This 19th-century altar cross, in the Napoleon III style, is crafted from vermeil, citrines and rose quartz. The metal body is adorned with engraved foliage and floral scrollwork, enhanced by seven citrines set into the structure. The cross sits atop a sphere fashioned from rose quartz, which serves as its base. The piece bears the 800-thousandths hallmark as well as the master goldsmith’s mark. The object measures 16.5 centimetres in height and 9 centimetres in diameter. The piece is in good condition.
