This large oval planter in polychrome Nevers earthenware, produced in the 19th century by the Montagnon factory, was crafted using a high-fire technique. Its hand-painted decoration depicts cherubs picking bunches of black grapes. These figures are framed within rocaille motifs, surrounded by yellow foliage that stands out against a dark blue background. The piece is completed by handles in the shape of winged griffins clutching the rim in their beaks. In very good overall condition, this object measures 50 cm in length, 30 cm in width and 25 cm in height.
