Created in the 19th century by Christopher Dresser (1834–1904) for the English manufacturer Old Hall, based in Staffordshire between 1861 and 1886, this antique Victorian-era ceramic leg-of-lamb dish elegantly exemplifies 19th-century British craftsmanship. The piece is adorned with a transferware decoration depicting the ‘Mother Hubbard’ motif. Measuring 50 cm in length and 40 cm in width, this substantial piece is equally suited to decorative display and refined presentation. Crafted from ceramic and preserved in perfect condition, this rare dish is offered for sale from Brussels.
