Description
Inspired by the celebrated antique model, this pair of bronze vases stands on veined green marble pedestals. Of French or Italian manufacture, this 19th-century pair reflects the Neoclassical taste. The bronze bodies, with a deep antique-green patina, feature relief decoration and intertwined handles evoking vine branches. Each vase stands on a square base with restrained mouldings, highlighting the visual contrast between the dark patina of the metal and the veining of the stone. The stated dimensions are 41 cm in height, 36 cm in width and a base measuring 20 by 20 cm.
