Description

This spherical ceramic and stoneware vase was designed in the 20th century in Belgium by the ceramist Roger Guérin (1896-1954). Made from high-fired stoneware, the piece features a nuanced grey-green glaze with a smooth surface, enhanced by enamel effects. Its simple and balanced form is characteristic of the Art Deco style, highlighting the craftsmanship of the material. The piece is signed on its base. This vase has a diameter of 33 cm and a length of 36 cm and is in very good condition. Active in Bouffioulx and trained by Willem Delsaux, Roger Guérin founded his workshop after 1918 and evolved from the Art Nouveau style towards Art Deco.
