Biography

Dino Rosin was born in Venice on 30 May 1948 and grew up in Murano. Apprenticed from age twelve at Barovier & Toso, he later joined the Artvet studio founded by his brothers Loredano and Mirco. From 1975 he became assistant to his brother Loredano and specialised in cold-working glass. In 1977 the Rosin brothers rediscovered the secret of calcedonia glass. After Loredano's death in 1991, Dino continued his career as a master glassmaker.
