Biography
Serge Mendjisky (1929-2017), born in Paris, was a French painter and photographer, son of the painter Maurice Mendjizky. Trained at the Beaux-Arts, he developed from the 1950s a personal divisionist painting style, exhibited in Europe, Japan and the United States, before turning to photography and photographic collage from the 1990s-2000s. His work is held at the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris and the Pushkin Museum, Moscow.
