Biography

Gianfranco Frattini (Padua, 1926 – Milan, 2004) was an Italian architect and designer who graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in 1953. After working in Gio Ponti's studio, he opened his own practice in Milan and in 1954 began a decades-long collaboration with Cassina. He went on to work with Bernini, Artemide and Knoll, and co-founded the Associazione per il Disegno Industriale in 1956.
