Biography
François Lembo (1930–2013) was a French ceramicist active in Vallauris. Trained from 1951 in the Calva and Rossignol workshops, he later worked in the studio of his father-in-law Marc Roussel before opening his own workshop in Vallauris in 1960. Inspired by Byzantine art, he specialised in gilded ceramic mirrors and icons with iridescent enamels. His son Renaud Lembo continued the family ceramic tradition.
